An equitable climate solution
For twenty years Spark Northwest has worked at the local level to build equitable, affordable clean energy through community energy programs and policy reform. Our installations of renewable energy have directly prevented over 13 million pounds of carbon emissions annually, while inspiring others to move boldly towards a just transition.
We are hiring
Spark Northwest is seeking a Project Manager to join our team of local clean energy innovators. This person will work closely with community partners, providing coaching and support to develop clean energy plans and projects.
Our Projects
2023 Impact
Our broad goals are to advance clean energy programs that: (1) build capability and capacity, (2) reduce energy burdens, and (3) strive towards energy democracy.
See how those goals played out with our programs during the past year.
See Our Work
This short video tells the story of Adam Powers and his vison for a community-led, renewable energy project that builds local resilience in Burien, Washington.
Our Impact
In 2022, we worked with low-income, Black, Indigenous and people of color-led organizations to develop and complete clean energy projects. We supported rural entities to apply for federal clean energy grants, partnered with Tribal nations on energy planning and projects, and advised local governments on how to equitably transition homes toward using clean energy.
